Walsall goalkeeper Myles Roberts was on the ground when the object was thrown
Manager Ian Holloway described a Swindon fan as "disgusting" after an object was thrown at Walsall goalkeeper Myles Roberts during their League Two match.
The incident happened in the closing seconds after Connor Barrett scored in the 91st minute to give Walsall a 2-1 victory at the Bescot Stadium.
Roberts was on the ground with an apparent calf injury when a small item thrown from the crowd landed near him.
It is not clear what the object, which Barrett handed to the referee, was.
"That's not right; that's not football," Holloway told BBC Radio Wiltshire.
"You think you're upset and all of this. Just shut your face and get out of the game. It's absolutely disgusting.
"You think you're representing our football club? Then I'm not having you.
"We need them out. We need to find who it is and dob them in. It's absolutely totally wrong. You should be ashamed of yourself."
