Rangers head coach Danny Rohl says his squad now have "big belief" after the first win of his tenure against Kilmarnock.
The 3-1 victory was Rangers' most convincing performance of the season and their first league win at home amid a turbulent campaign.
Rohl takes his new team to Hibernian on Wednesday, with rivals Celtic five points ahead and now under the guidance of Martin O'Neill and Shaun Maloney after Brendan Rodgers' shock departure on Monday.
Leaders Hearts are a further eight points clear at the summit but Rohl believes there has been a shift in momentum at Ibrox.
"I must say this morning, I sat here and looked to the faces of my players and I see there's a big, big belief now," the 36-year-old said.
"I think they feel it on the pitch. I have the feeling they believe at the moment in what we are doing, in the last days.
"Of course, after the big defeat [against Brann], then we got a good reaction. I think this is also important for players and for us to see, after a setback, that you can come back.
"There was another setback during the game when it was 1-1 and you come through, and then you fully deserved the game."
Rohl was asked about Rodgers' shock departure from Celtic on Monday night, and expressed sympathy for the Northern Irishman while focussing on his own job.
"I think the pressure is always on for a manager," Rohl said.
"I think this is football. It's never nice when the manager gets sacked or something like this.
"We are all together the manager in this business, but as football, I think this is why we like this at one time and sometimes we don't like it. "
Striker Youssef Chermiti got his first Rangers goal in the win over Kilmarnock after his reported £8m move from Everton.
His celebration appeared to be a response to his critics in the stands at Ibrox after a tough start to life in Glasgow.
Rohl said Chermiti was clearly emotional but needs to choose his celebrations more carefully in future.
"A celebration after a goal is always important," Rohl said.
"You have to understand how you celebrate sometimes. I said this when I arrived, it's not just about improving players on the pitch, also off the pitch.
"But we spoke about this and I think he knows what to do the next time, a bit emotional, but not more. For me, it was more important that he scored."
